21 police injured in St. Paul

I was listening to the news this morning and they had the St. Paul police chief on

He was discussing the protests and the 21 injured cops

He expressed his disgust and dismay that they would do this to these “Public servants”

Well here is a tip: If you acted like public servants instead of domestic warriors maybe people wouldn’t be throwing shit at you

And this is just the tip of the iceberg

There is a virtual tidal wave of anti police sentiment getting ready to sweep over them

Day after day

Day in and day out

People are exposed to their lies, corruption and abuse

We now live in the digital age and not a day goes by that a video of a cop beating, killing or abusing someone isn’t posted online

A few bad apples right?

Yeah, that line only goes so far

My other website is an anti police abuse page and every day I pass up 10 bad cop stories just to post one

There are so many abuse videos out there yet the cops seem surprised and shocked that people hate them

How many times do you see innocent people get killed before you have your stomach full?

I know that I have more than my fill and these bastards don’t get one ounce of sympathy from me

Happy Monday all

Dallas police shooting: Prelude to chaos

Nifty title ,huh?

I know ,I thought so. But seriously there are some heavy implications here

I am not going to comment on motive or anything else until we find out where Omar was last night about 10:00P.M.

The attack sound a little much for the Bowel movement matters crowd

But to be on point; Because of one shooting the Dallas P.D. was overwhelmed

This is how things like this get started

Every revolution needs a vehicle and that vehicle is chaos

It doesn’t matter who’s side anyone is on once the ball gets rolling

Imagine, if in the middle of the Dallas standoff, they had other participants who started knocking out power stations

And lighting fires

A small dedicated group of people could paralyze the city and plunge it into darkness and chaos

That is what happened in the Russian revolution

Chaos broke out in so many places at once that no organized resistance was possible

While the police were out responding to rioting their Police stations and homes were being burned down

There is a fine line between chaos and civilization and it is not the thin blue line

The thin blue line crumples at the very first blip of societal breakdown

Think New Orleans and you have the answer

It is the citizens themselves

Whether our side or their side, with relative ease that line can be completely broken

And right now the string is being tugged at

This is not the end of unrest and violence; this is only the beginning

Our country has become more politically polarized than at any time since the civil war

Our countrymen are no longer political adversaries; They are our enemies

And that goes for all sides involved

Me thinks that no matter who is responsible here, whether Isis, the far left or the far right

That this is a precedent and is only the beginning of more to come

Just remember history on this if it starts to happen

Think about how to react and how to survive

Take some lessons from history and survivors

And be ready if it comes

They are Kings and they are not subject to the law

The law emanates from them, not applies to them

Why the meeting with Lynch and Bilbo with all eyes to see?

Because they wanted you to see

Why the leak to the NYT stating that Hillary was thinking about retaining Lynch in her administration?

Because they wanted you to know that they don’t care how it appears

Why would Obama and Hillary have such bad timing with their rally in NC, stepping off the plane just as Comey announced no charges?

Because it’s in your face

They are untouchable and they want you to know that

Nothing can be done to stop them and they don’t care what anyone thinks

Open carry March

“INVERNESS, FL (WFLA) – More than 300 people marched through the streets of Inverness in Citrus County to show their support for the Second Amendment on the morning of Fourth of July.

Many carried American flags on this Independence Day, and all marchers carried loaded guns.

“I believe in the American right to be able to bear arms and not have anybody try to take them away,” said participant Terry Stimpfling.beararms

Terry Hallinan owns Florida Gun Supply. This is the second year he has organized the event.

After the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the gun debate is more heated than ever.

“We’re demonstrating to the rest of America — to anyone listening — that the law-abiding citizens no longer are going to sit idly by and watch the country go to hell,” Hallinan said.

He tells 8 On Your Side that he was dismayed by the recent actions of democratic lawmakers who staged a sit-in on the House floor as a way to pressure republicans to hold votes on gun-control measures.”

Inverness borders the town that I live in

300 doesn’t sound like much, but this is a very small county that I live in

The Sheriff’s Dept. was on the radio leading up to the event and they were not happy

They said that they would not intervene but they made it quite obvious that they were in total disagreement with it

As far as I know only one person got harassed by cops

A car stopped on the roadside that was loaded down with bottled water to pass out and an asshole trooper gave him a $160.00 ticket

Other than that Florida’s finest heroes decided to stay hands off

The march doesn’t sound like much but it is making waves here in small town America

Yes, the peasants are starting to turn out with pitch forks

Homeland Security Adviser Demands National Gun Registry

” Following the terror attack in Orlando, the dominant media/political narrative turned to gun control and now-discredited claims of the suspect’s mental illness (claims which included gay-baiting).

Now, one controversial former FBI agent — and current consultant to the Obama administration on “countering violent extremism” (CVE) — is suggesting a national gun registry be created. Such a registry would target millions of law-abiding American citizens.

Gamal Abdel-Hafiz, born in Cairo, immigrated to the U.S. in 1990. He recently retired from the FBI after 22 turbulent years at the bureau. Following the Orlando attack, Abdel-Hafiz explained his rationale for creating a national gun registry:

A former FBI counter-terrorism agent says lawmakers could make mass murders less likely. “What we need to do is keep the ownership of guns known to the government, so we know who has what,” said security consultant Gamal Abdel-Hafiz. “And I know a lot of people are against that.”

He also defended the FBI’s handling of the Mateen case, despite the FBI having conducted multiple interviews with the killer based on statements and threats of violence he had made, and then shutting down the investigation:

“He shouldn’t have been able to buy a gun legally. He shouldn’t,” said Abdel-Hafiz about 29-year-old Omar Mateen. He says 3 FBI interviews should have been enough to keep Mateen on the radar, but he also knows why he wasn’t. “Once you investigate someone and clear them, you have to remove them from the watch list by law,” he explained Monday from his office in Dallas. And even if Mateen had been on a terror watch list, or no-fly list, that would not have prohibited him from legally buying weapons, including a high-velocity semi-automatic assault rifle.

“That means the list is useless then,” the former agent said. Efforts to ban weapon sales to those on watch lists have been blocked in Congress. Some lawmakers say the lists could violate a person’s Second Amendment rights. “As long as our politicians keep fighting each other for the sake of fighting each other, more innocent people will keep on dying,” he said.

Remarkably, he admits that the various terror watch lists and no-fly lists are useless. Moments after suggesting another list. He doesn’t explain how a national gun registry — yet another government list targeting millions of law-abiding Americans — would prevent another terror attack.”

Isn’t it obvious?

Islam is not the problem

Guns are.

We must now register all guns

Because terrorists have no other way to attack

No guns, no terrorism

Makes perfect sense

A not so good start to the Olympics

“RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – A jaguar featured at an Olympic torch ceremony was shot dead by a soldier shortly after the event in the Brazilian Amazon city of Manaus as the animal escaped from its handlers, an army statement said.

The jaguar was killed Monday at a zoo attached to a military training center, when a soldier fired a single pistol shot after the animal, despite being tranquilized, approached the soldier, the army said.

“We made a mistake in permitting the Olympic torch, a symbol of peace and unity, to be exhibited alongside a chained wild animal. This image goes against our beliefs and our values,” the local organizing committee Rio 2016 said in a statement, adding “We guarantee that there will be no more such incidents at Rio 2016.”

Who would have ever thought that the Brazilians could screw the Olympics up so bad?

In addition to poor Chester Cheeta buying the farm, a bunch of Australian athletes were robbed at gunpoint

They also have snipers out on the highway that must be traveled to reach the Olympic village from the airport

It is really starting to sound like good old fashioned South American fun

Ready to give up?

“We may die; die Colonists, die slaves, die, it may be, ignominiously and on the scaffold.

Be it so. Be it so.

If it be the pleasure of Heaven that my country shall require the poor offering of my life, the victim shall be ready at the appointed hour of sacrifice, come when that hour may. But while I do live, let me have a country, or at least the hope of a country, and that a free country.

But whatever may be our fate, be assured, be assured that this Declaration will stand. It may cost treasure, and it may cost blood, but it will stand and it will richly compensate for both.

Through the thick gloom of the present, I see the brightness of the future as the sun in heaven. We shall make this a glorious, an immortal day. When we are in our graves, our children will honor it. They will celebrate it with thanksgiving, with festivity, with bonfires, and illuminations. . .

Sir, before God, I believe the hour is come. My judgment approves this measure, and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, and all that I am, and all that I hope, in this life, I am now ready here to stake upon it; and I leave off as I began, that live or die, survive or perish, I am for the Declaration.”

Bring your shit on

Happy Monday everyone

A trip to see my father

I look at him
Illuminated  by the dim yellow glow
of warm lamplight

He smiles
reclined and comfortable
in the chair of my youth

His rough unshaven face
carries the lines
of a million good times

His warmth makes
the slightly tattered furniture
look better, more comfortable

He stays up late into the night
telling worn old jokes
still funny

He basks in the love of his family
come to see him
and is warmed

I am carried back
carried to my place
in that chair

Loved and protected
rough whiskers on my skin
always safe with him

Sitting in that chair
always with a laugh
always with a smile

Now the oxygen tube snakes
’round his neck
while he tells stories

But his laugh
is still deep
and loud

The hour is late
and I drink his fine whiskey
that he no longer can

I look deeply
into his sparkling eyes
and know that he will die

But not when he can laugh
and still feel
like a child

A rather marked indifference to the Orlando shooting

This came over the transom from Wirecutter here: http://knuckledraggin.com/2016/06/53053/

“The shooter who killed at least 50 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando has been identified as Omar Mateen, law enforcement sources told The Post.

Mateen was a U.S. citizen with no apparent criminal history, was born to Afghan parents in New York in 1986 and was living in Port St. Lucie, Fla., according to multiple media reports.

Mateen had committed himself to ISIS before carrying out the bloodiest mass murder in US history at a gay nightclub in Orlando on Sunday, federal officials said.

Mateen “made a pledge of allegiance to ISIS,” California Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told CNN.

Schiff said the timing and target of the attack can’t be a coincidence.”

“Up past 50 now. At a gay nightclub. By an islamic terrorist – even the media and government is copping to that. During ramadan no less. Holy shit.

You know what? I’m having a hard time getting even interested in this, much less excited. I woke up about 6 this morning and passed the news channel saying something about “at least 20 killed at a gay nightclub in Orlando…..” and the only thought that went through my head as I continued on my bleary way to the coffee was “Huh. That’s a shitload of dead fuckers.”

And it’s been like that all day for me. I mean I’m catching bits and pieces of it from the next room – “largest massacre in US history… employed as a federal security guard… was already under suspicion… terrorism… weapons are too easily available…” and even I’m kinda dismayed that I just don’t care. I mean, this is some horrible shit. I should be outraged. Outraged? Hell, I ain’t even excited.

Largest massacre in US history? Not even close. Okay, this might be nitpicking here but Custer’s Last Stand was bigger than that. Just sayin. On THAT day in History the United States lost 274 souls – 268 soldiers and 6 indian scouts. Probably a couple of gay dudes in that bunch too.
How ’bout Waco? Seventy six men, women and children were massacred by the United States government. Y’all can pretty much tell how I feel about that, huh?
Then there’s the Waxhaw massacre, the Colfax massacre, the Mountain Meadows massacre, the…..
There’s more but I’m wanting to finish this and get back to my book so you’ll have to look them up yourself.

Terrorism. Over 50 dead. Damn… Yeah, that shit happens. all. the. time. in other countries. How can anybody be surprised when it happens here? What surprises me is that it’s taken as long as it has and it’s not more commonplace.
Can’t give the DHS credit for that – they had this dude under suspicion and he still did the deed. Nope, no credit for DHS, but there is a lot of blame on them.

And it was a gay nightclub. Big deal. It doesn’t make any difference to me as to what kind of nightclub it was. To be honest with you I was kinda hoping it was a gangsta rap joint. That might’ve gotten me excited.
Hey, I’m from California. I don’t care who you fuck as long as you don’t keep it in my face. Seriously. Do I believe in Gay Rights? No. I believe in Civil and Human rights for every citizen in the Nation.

Let’s not forget the guns being so easily available. Is that right? Can anybody out there tell me how much return fire there was from the patrons of the club? Uh-huh. There were probably a few gun owners there – unarmed gun owners.
Yeah, I know it’s illegal to carry a gun where alcohol is served. Guns in clubs are dangerous – last night proved that.
Our granddaughter’s school had a game day last month. They all competed in relays and games and barrel rolls, an all day event and all the parents and grandparents came to watch. Now this was on school grounds and I saw more men with pistols at that one place than I have altogether since I’ve been here. I’m not talking about guns printing against shirts, I was seeing revolver butts poking out of overall back pockets and bottoms of holsters hanging down below their shirts, that kind of shit. Those kids couldn’t have been any safer.
Me and Lisa and the grandkids went to the drive-in last weekend in Franklin and I started laughing as I was watching the pre-show crowd in the lot. Lisa asked what was so funny and I said “I was just imagining that headlines tomorrow – ‘Islamic Terrorists Attack Drive In Theater – 246 Patrons Return Fire.’”

Yes, this will be another gun control opportunity. Everything is. The government that brought you the Gunwalker scandal that resulted in the death of Brian Terry will uses this to try to disarm you. But that doesn’t surprise me either – it’s been that way my entire life. I cannot remember a single period in my lifetime when there wasn’t some sort of effort to strip me of my Civil Rights. I’m not outraged or even tripping on that – I’m resolved. I will not surrender my firearms.

Oh well, back to my book. I’m reading an excellent account of sniping in WWI in France. If you get a chance it’s called “Sniping in France” by Major H. Hessketh-Prichard. It’s a nice recollection of how and why sniping by the British in World War I evolved by the man that was responsible for the training.
Now that’s something to get excited about.”

Quad amputee Vet shoots himself after crisis hot line tells him to call back when he is less irate

Nightmare after nightmare has been documented when it comes to scandals at the Department of Veterans Affairs. But this incident is truly horrific.

Todd Nicely led a squad of 12 infantry Marines on a security foot patrol in Afghanistan when he stepped on an improvised explosive device, leaving him a quadruple amputee. It got worse when he came home – and attempted suicide after a frustrating round of calls with the VA Crisis Hotline over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post from fellow wounded veteran Bobby Henline, friends spoke with Nicely over the weekend and found out he was upset that nobody from the VA was there to help him.

Nicely then called the Crisis Hotline and was told to “call back when he becomes less irate.”

Henline wrote in part:

“Wounded Warrior Todd Nicely, retired USMC, quad amputee, shot himself two nights ago. My friend Greg spoke with him at 6pm and Todd was mad at the VA and USMC for not being there to help him. Todd tried calling a Crisis Hotline all weekend but he kept getting the runaround from them and they told him to call back when he becomes less irate.”

Fortunately, the gunshots were not fatal.

Via Liberty Unyielding:

Corporal Todd Nicely, USMC, doesn’t take life lying down.  He doesn’t come off to anyone as a morose guy who feels sorry for himself.  That’s a good thing, since he lost most of all four limbs in an encounter with a land mine in Afghanistan in 2010.  He’s one of only five veterans (as of 2016) to survive the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as a quadruple amputee.

It’s essential to know this about Todd Nicely, before taking in the update that he shot himself this week after reportedly getting the run-around from the Veterans Administration crisis hotline.  He’s recovering, according to the latest news from Friday, 3 June; he didn’t succeed in killing himself.  But in frustration at a situation whose particulars we don’t fully know*, he did try.

Todd’s mother took to Facebook to post an update:

This is Todd’s Mom and we are trying to answer everyone’s posts and messages and voice messages as we can and they’re coming in faster than we can answer. Todd is doing fine he’s going to be OK, thank you for your prayers and comments and for being good friend to him.

In May of last year, Sen. Bill Nelson requested that the VA investigate the Crisis Hotline to ensure it is meeting veterans’ needs, citing reports that some were being stranded during high-volume call periods.

Nicely’s case doesn’t involve him being stranded, but rather he was actually told to call back because he was too angry. That’s incompetence that could have cost him his life.

Not very long ago, Hillary Clinton downplayed scandals at the VA that involved 30% of veterans dying as they waited for healthcare.

Now it appears they can’t even rely on a hotline designed specifically to aid them during times of crisis.
