Ahhh! The golden years….

Two French tourists dead after suffering heart problems near Great Barrier Reef

“The incidents happened in shallow waters at Michaelmas Cay about 11am as part of a catamaran activity, where 21 elderly French tourists were on board.

Passions of Paradise confirmed the incident and extended its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the French tourists.

“The Passions of Paradise lookout on the beach noticed a man floating in the water and pulled him to the sand cay where he performed CPR. He was then assisted by a doctor on the sand cay,” Chief Executive Officer Scotty Garden confirmed in a statement.

“The Passions of Paradise lookout on the boat saw a woman floating in the water and pulled her on to the catamaran where CPR was performed.”

Association of Marine Park Tourism Operators Executive Director Colin McKenzie told Yahoo7 that the pair had indicated that they had heart conditions before they got into the water.

“We suspect it was a medical condition but it will be up to the coroner to decide what happened,” he said.

It doesn’t state it but the pair were actually traveling together

Makes you kind of re-think the golden years bucket list tour , huh?

This morning they are saying that they ran afoul of jelly fish

Makes me hope that they were real asshole types and not just your everyday bread and cheese hugging froggies

But seriously, R.I.P.

Man finds 80 ballots all assigned to same address

“Jerry Mosna was gardening outside his San Pedro, Calif., home Saturday when he noticed something odd: Two stacks of 2016 ballots on his mailbox.

The 83 ballots, each unused, were addressed to different people, all supposedly living in his elderly neighbor’s two-bedroom apartment.

“I think this is spooky,” Mosna said. “All the different names, none we recognize, all at one address.”

His wife, Madalena Mosna, noted their 89-year-old neighbor lives by herself, and, “Eighty people can’t fit in that apartment.”

They took the ballots to the Los Angeles Police Department, but were directed to the post office. They felt little comfort there would be an investigation, and called another neighbor, John Cracchiolo – who contacted the Los Angeles County Registrar’s office. ”

Why were there only 2000 Mexicans at the Alamo?

Because they only brought two cars.

80 ballots at one address isn’t crap.

(I know, I’m racist)

Lies of Omission: A patriot/Freedom movement film

“I am a recent graduate of film school and in conversations with family members I recognized that there was a huge gulf in understanding the ideals of freedom. They would reference people I had never heard of and I wondered why.

There seemed to be an underground interest in freedom not discussed among my friends or in school, except to point out that this was a “free” country. But, was it? What made this a “free” country and if so many of the older generation felt that it was disappearing, why didn’t my generation know about it? Furthermore, should we care?

Armed with some contacts into this underground freedom movement, I set about to answer these questions through the best media I know: film. ”

“TL Davis of Christian Mercenary and Concerned American of Western Rifle’s Shooters Association are two of the most respected voices in the Patriot community today, both of them known for their honesty, integrity and level-headedness.

TL has alerted me to a project that both of them are involved in and asked if I’d give it a plug. It’s a film project and funding is needed to get this done.
After going over and watching the short video and seeing who’s backing it, I’ve decided to give it a spot in my sidebar for as long as necessary. I’d like to ask that you go to the site, watch the short 3 minute video and decide if you think it’s worth your helping out. Yes, I’ll be making a donation closer to payday when I know I’ve got it to spare.” From W.C. Here: http://knuckledraggin.com/2016/10/lies-of-omission/

The reports of Swift’s death have been greatly exaggerated

Over the weekend news and video surfaced that the former HSV Swift, which had been leased to MSC for 10 years from 2003-2013 and is currently owned by Emirates-based UAE Marine Dredging Company but was chartered by the United Arab Emirates military for coastal transport, was sunk after a missile attack by Houthis rebels. Well, […]

Saurday update

Weekend updates are a rarity as I have no internet connection at home. We were getting raped by brighthouse and my wife decided to go to DSL.

Requiem for the internet

My internet is gone

my modem

lays on the lawn

like the colored

leaves of fall

It is haunted

by the signals it once received

mocked by the cables

so close

Their information left

like water

leaking on the floor

I wonder now

in the dark still of night

Why, why ?

Did she ever

decide on DSL

Yeah, it didn’t work out. DSL is not as fast as broadband, as a matter of fact it was not fast at at all. In fact, at least 50% of the time it did not work at all. Right in the middle of something it would drop off line and stay that way for 20 minutes.

We would put in a call to Century link and they would tell us that they checked the settings and it was fine. In the end my wife tore the entire set up out by the roots and chucked it out the front door and told them to pick their crap up.

I am fine with it. Here at my office I have the super smoking business package to create mayhem with.

Internet, phones go dark: Company says vandals caused failure

Yeah? Maybe it was someone who said enough is enough; A free internet or no internet. Guess they haven’t considered that possibility. Perhaps , realizing how unprotected the network really is, they have decided to fight back against the FCC. They wouldn’t have to go to great lengths, simply mow down roadside cable boxes with their truck or chop a couple of cables.

The internet network is actually as unprotected as the electrical network and if that is what these “Vandals” are doing, they could actually do some serious damage. Online banking, utilities, government agencies all rely on the internet and disruptions like these could have serious consequences.

I guess we will see in the coming weeks whether this was just an isolated incidence of vandalism or something more.

Looks like I might be publishing a news letter

PRESCOTT – Vandalism of an optical fiber cable owned by CenturyLink just before noon Wednesday, Feb. 25, cut telephone and Internet service for more than five hours for customers across northern Arizona.

Alex Juarez, a spokesman for CenturyLink, said the company dispatched technicians to find a break in the cable somewhere near the Interstate 17 corridor. Initially, company officials knew the problem was north of Deer Valley, but it could have been as far north as the Camp Verde area.

Juarez said the outage extended across the north-central part of the state, from the Prescott area, to Cottonwood and Flagstaff. Just before 3 p.m., he said crews had located the problem. However, he said at that time he was unable to give an estimated time for repairs.

About two hours later some phones and Internet connections began to light up in Yavapai County as telephone company repair crews began fixing the broken line.”

The internet’s your Doctor now….

I know that I have not been my usual pissed off, spunky self lately. I haven’t been trying to storm the gates or inviting drone strikes that would end my measly existence in a roar of fire, spilt coffee, and doughnut dust. And yes, there is a reason.

Have I given up? Been cowed by the thought of hot alphabet soup pouring through my doorway? No. Not by a long shot.

Truth is, my finger still hasn’t healed. I have no actual fingertip. The end looks like a blown up hot dog. It has now been 1 month, 4 days, 10 hours, and I can’t give you the minutes. So what’s the problem? Let me give you a recap of events.

On Nov. 1 around 11:00 P.M. I was putting a hitch mounted carrier on  my truck. It was dark and I was feeling inside of the hole that the hitch pin goes into for alignment and I said “It needs to go in about an 1/8 of an inch.”

I then took a trip to the E.R.

The Doctor, hours later, did some basic surgery on it, cut it back some and sewed it up. When he was done, he told me to soak it daily in Betadine solution for 5 minutes and have the stitches removed in 10 days.

It wasn’t ready at the ten day mark and I waited another week or so before I took it to a doctor. Even though I expressed concern about the condition of it, he said it was fine. He told me to continue soaking it in Betadine daily until it was fully healed.

Please read the below:

“We all know we are not supposed to use a product like betadine on a wound because it is cytotoxic. It is damaging to tissues,”  Infection control today

“Providone-iodine (Betadine) did not effectively promote good wound healing; in fact, most studies showed either impaired wound healing, reduced wound strength, or infection.” Journal of vascular nursing

And there are many more. I learned this on Monday, 1 month and 2 days in.

I had already done some research on non healing wounds and 5 days previous had started TENS treatment on it, which is almost miraculous according to research.

Unless you are soaking it in Betadine.

Assholes… Incompetent fools.

I might shoot your asses…..If I had a trigger finger.

Hand surgeon tomorrow at 1:00 P.M.

It makes me feel so hopeful…..
