State flags with Confederate emblem removed at U.S. Capitol

“WASHINGTON — State flags, including the controversial Mississippi flag featuring the Confederate battle emblem, will no longer hang in the tunnel at the U.S. Capitol where each had been displayed.

Rep. Candice Miller, R-Mich., said Thursday the flags, which had been removed during renovations, will instead be replaced with prints of each state’s commemorative coin.”

Fresh information linking Saudi Govt. to 911

“Fresh information allegedly connecting the government of Saudi Arabia and the 9/11 terror attacks has been released.

Officials have revealed that the flight certificate of Al-Qaeda bomb maker Ghassan Al-Sharbi was discovered hidden in an envelope from the Saudi embassy in Washington when they arrested him in 2002.

Al-Sharbi is believed to have learned how to fly with the hijackers but did not take part in the attacks. Shortly before his arrest, he buried a bundle of documents, which is believed to have included the certificate.

The cache was discovered by US authorities and details, written in a memo known as Document 17 in 2003, were released without fanfare by investigators last year. They were only brought to the public’s attention when an activist discovered them and wrote about them on his website earlier this week.

The release has fuelled concerns the Saudi government may have been linked to the coordinated attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people.

Activist Brian McGlinchey claimed the details would lead to people questioning the extent government individuals were involved, according to The Times.

He said: ‘The envelope points to the fundamental question hanging over us today: to what extent was the 9/11 plot facilitated by individuals at the highest levels of the Saudi government?’ “

2016 off to a better start

2015 was a bad , bad year

In addition to a slew of death and personal tragedy, financially it was the worst since the bust

Our business revenues were only slightly higher than in ’09

The only difference being that all of our savings have gone back into the business to keep it floating for 6 Yrs. and now the till is empty

By Christmas we had gone so broke that after traveling up to see Shay and gassing the car up we had no Christmas gifts for the grand kids

(The little one tells me “It’s okay Papa we don’t need presents, just so you are here”)

But now things are starting to swing

Suddenly we are back to 20o7 levels

Man, I am praying that we have finally caught a break

The past years have been an extremely stressful business environment and we have stripped down to bare bones

Hopefully the economy won’t tank again

Take my truck for instance

I drive a 1998 Toyota Tacoma for work

One morning I pull into the parking lot, coming off the highway, and the drivers side wheel falls off as I pull into my parking spot

It’s a bad ball joint and it just fell apart

So I get a new one and replace it

Just as I am finishing up a couple of my guys come in and offer to finish up for me

Having paperwork to do I let them wrap it up

About two months later I pull into the parking lot and as I pull into my parking spot the drivers side wheel falls off

The ball joint has fallen apart because the nut fell off because my guys forgot to install the retention pin

So I buy a new joint and install it start to finish myself making sure the pin is in

About a week later just as I am pulling out of my driveway I blow out the drivers side front  tire

Back in the driveway and switch cars

About a month later I run up to the office to let one of the guys in for something he forgot

I am driving home and I am in my neighborhood

I just turned onto my street with about 5 houses to go and Bam!

Drivers side front wheel falls off and rolls up into the neighbors yard

I don’t even hesitate , I just floor it shooting sparks and carving a groove down the road and into my drive way

Now I have to go and retrieve my wheel

I look at the truck and I don’t have lug nut one

I found the whole pile of them right where I turned the corner 2 days later

Oversized lugs nuts, who would have guessed?

The repair consisted of a set of new lug nuts

Sounds like bad luck right?

Except I have that truck on the highway every single day

There is busy highway between my home and work

If any of those events happened on the highway, I would have been toast

Good luck?

Not really, but it sure could have been a whole lot worse bad luck

Cuban exile to be deported after 50 Yrs.

“That is a reality now facing Cuban exile activist Ramón Saúl Sánchez, leader of the Democracy Movement, who received a letter Thursday from the federal government ordering him to leave the country as soon as possible. The order arrived just as he planned to sail across the Florida Straits as part of a flotilla off the coast of Cuba, organized as a show of solidarity with political prisoners in Cuban jails.

Sánchez, who obtained legal entry into the U.S. in what is known as a “parole,” had applied for permanent residency in 2002 so he could legally travel aboard the many flotillas he has organized over the years and return easily to the United States.

That permanent residency request has been denied and his parole has now also expired, according to the letter issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

“You are not authorized to remain in the United States and should make arrangements to depart as soon as possible,” stated the letter, dated April 7 and received by Sánchez on Thursday. “Failure to depart may result in your being found ineligible for immigration benefits and inadmissible to the United States in the future.”

Insurers warn Losses from ObamaCare are unsustainable

“Health insurance companies are amplifying their warnings about the financial sustainability of the ObamaCare marketplaces as they seek approval for premium increases next year.

Insurers say they are losing money on their ObamaCare plans at a rapid rate, and some have begun to talk about dropping out of the marketplaces altogether.

“Something has to give,” said Larry Levitt, an expert on the health law at the Kaiser Family Foundation. “Either insurers will drop out or insurers will raise premiums.”

While analysts expect the market to stabilize once premiums rise and more young, healthy people sign up, some observers have not ruled out the possibility of a collapse of the market, known in insurance parlance as a “death spiral.”

In the short term, there is a growing likelihood that insurers will push for substantial premium increases, creating a political problem for Democrats in an election year.

Insurers have been pounding the drum about problems with ObamaCare pricing.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association released a widely publicized report last month that said new enrollees under ObamaCare had 22 percent higher medical costs than people who received coverage from employers.

A report from McKinsey & Company found that in the individual market, which includes the ObamaCare marketplaces, insurers lost money in 41 states in 2014, and were only profitable in 9 states.

“We continue to have serious concerns about the sustainability of the public exchanges,” Mark Bertolini, the CEO of Aetna, said in February.”

Federal Government manages to steal more annually than burglars

“Here’s an interesting factoid about contemporary policing: In 2014, for the first time ever, law enforcement officers took more property from American citizens than burglars did. Martin Armstrong pointed this out at his blog, Armstrong Economics, last week.

Officers can take cash and property from people without convicting or even charging them with a crime — yes, really! — through the highly controversial practice known as civil asset forfeiture. Last year, according to the Institute for Justice, the Treasury and Justice departments deposited more than $5 billion into their respective asset forfeiture funds. That same year, the FBI reports that burglary losses topped out at $3.5 billion.

Armstrong claims that “the police are now taking more assets than the criminals,” but this isn’t exactly right: The FBI also tracks property losses from larceny and theft, in addition to plain ol’ burglary. If you add up all the property stolen in 2014, from burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft and other means, you arrive at roughly $12.3 billion, according to the FBI. That’s more than double the federal asset forfeiture haul.”

The boar population, which has increased by 330 per cent in the four years since the disaster, has been devastating the crops of farms in the area.

Around 13,000 of the boars are in the exclusion zone, which stretches in a 12-mile radius from the plant.

Since the nuclear disaster of 2011, damage to agriculture caused by boars in the area in north Japan has doubled to around £10.6million, according to The Times .

Boars also pose a threat to public safety, and have reportedly injured local residents while roaming the streets of towns nearby.”

“Scientists from the Fukushima University Environmental Radioactivity Institute, who have been researching the spread of radioactive materials in the disaster area, said the boars have been raising their litters in abandoned houses.

Assistant ecology professor Okuda Keitokunin told Mainichi newspaper “ Wild boar along with raccoon have been taking advantage of the evacuation zone, entering vacant houses in areas damaged by the [disaster], and using them as breeding places or burrows .”

There is also a problem of what to do with the bodies of boars killed as they are unfit for human consumption.”
