Big brother has arrived

“Barack Obama has signed into law a bill authorizing some $611 billion in funding for the U.S. military for 2017, but hidden inside the massive governmental document is a provision that is alarming free-speech and limited-government advocates: authorization and funding for a new center to decide what is truth.

The newly approved Center for Information Analysis and Response, or as it’s been dubbed, the “Ministry of Truth,” is being given power to not only make those determinations, but also do what’s needed to influence the American public to believe it.

“Here are a few highlights,” wrote a a blogger who focuses on government indoctrination through its Common Core education mandates, at What is Common Core:

“The new center will ‘counter propaganda and disinformation’ as defined by the center. … The new center will use ‘covert or clandestine special operators and agents to influence targeted populations. … The new center has 10 million dollars to pay select members of academia and journalism to ‘proactively promote fact-based narratives and policies,’ and ‘to expose and refute foreign misinformation and disinformation’ – as defined by the center.”

In fact, the law calls for the center to “provide grants or contracts of financial support to civil society groups, journalists, nongovernmental organizations, federally funded research and development centers, private companies, or academic institutions.”

“A leaked Army operational security brief appears to show Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and former CIA Director David Petraeus listed as two key examples of potential insider threats.

Admins of the Facebook page “U.S. Army W.T.F! moments” told The Daily Caller News Foundation this is the second time they’ve received a picture of this particular slide in the last six months. They posted the slide to their page Sunday.

Admins said the picture came from a servicemember stationed at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri.

The brief, marked unclassified, lists servicemembers Nidal Hassan, Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden and Aaron Alexis as examples of threats.

On the second row, the brief pictures Clinton and Petraeus. The text of “careless or disgruntled employees” echoes FBI Director James Comey’s description, “extremely careless,” of Clinton’s handling of top secret and classified information when she served as Secretary of State. Comey then went on to recommend to the Department of Justice that no criminal charges be filed against her.

Founded by Geniuses but is run by idiots

Founded
by Geniuses but is run by idiots

If you can get
arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for
entering and remaining in the country illegally ,…you might live in
a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or
to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — ,…you
might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by
idiots.

If you MUST show your identification to board an
airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and
rent a video, but not to vote for who runs the government,… you
might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by
idiots.

If the government wants to prevent stable, law-abiding
citizens from owning gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds,
but gives twenty F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in
Egypt,…you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but
is run by idiots.

If, in the nation’s largest city, you can
buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not one 24-ounce soda, because 24-ounces
of a sugary drink might make you fat,… you might live in a nation
that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If an
80-year-old woman or a three-year-old girl who is confined to a
wheelchair can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a
woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and
head searched,… you might live in a nation that was founded by
geniuses but is run by idiots.

If your government believes
that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to
spend trillions more,… you might live in a nation that was founded
by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If a seven-year-old boy can
be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is “cute,” but
hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is
perfectly acceptable,… you might live in a nation that was founded
by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If hard work and success are
met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion,
while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid
benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones,…you might live
in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If
the government’s plan for getting people back to work is to provide
incentives for not working, by granting 99 weeks of unemployment
checks, without any requirement to prove that gainful employment was
diligently sought, but couldn’t be found,… you might live in a
nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If
you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest
big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a
wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the
government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage,… you
might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by
idiots.

If being stripped of your Constitutional right to
defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government
— you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is
run by idiots.

What a country!

More than 700,000 boycott Target over transgender bathroom policy

” A conservative Christian activist group has gained more than half a million signatures and counting from people pledging to boycott Target over its transgender bathroom policy.

The petition started by the American Family Association on Wednesday raises concerns that Target’s inclusive stance on transgender rights encourages sexual predators and puts women and young girls in danger, because “a man can simply say he ‘feels like a woman today’ and enter the women’s restroom.”

The boycott has more than 744,800 signatures as of Tuesday afternoon, marking it as one of AFA’s most popular campaigns.

“This is the best response we’ve ever had this quick,” says AFA President Tim Wildmon, attributing the protest’s viral nature to the fact that “everybody knows who Target is, and it’s an easy-to-understand issue.”

Wildmon says Target stands “to lose a lot of customers who won’t come back.” But Target is standing by its policy.

“We certainly respect that there are a wide variety of perspectives and opinions,” says Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder. “As a company that firmly stands behind what it means to offer our team an inclusive place to work — and our guests an inclusive place to shop — we continue to believe that this is the right thing for Target.”

State flags with Confederate emblem removed at U.S. Capitol

“WASHINGTON — State flags, including the controversial Mississippi flag featuring the Confederate battle emblem, will no longer hang in the tunnel at the U.S. Capitol where each had been displayed.

Rep. Candice Miller, R-Mich., said Thursday the flags, which had been removed during renovations, will instead be replaced with prints of each state’s commemorative coin.”

This behemoth no longer consists of a conglomeration of the states

It now exists as a tyrannical bureaucracy who’s sole purpose is it’s own existence

What we have now is is the equivalent of Soviet style cold war rule

There is no representation and this election is removing the very guise of it

“In Marxist–Leninist states, the party is seen as “the vanguard of the people” and from that legitimizes itself to lead the state. In that way, the party officials in the Politburo informally lead the state.

Officially, the Party Congress elects a Central Committee which, in turn, elects the Politburo and General Secretary in a process termed democratic centralism. The Politburo was theoretically answerable to the Central Committee. Under Stalin this model was reversed, and it was the General Secretary who determined the composition of the Politburo and Central Committee. This tendency decreased to some extent after Stalin’s death, though in practice the Politburo remained a self-perpetuating body whose decisions de facto had the force of law.” Wiki

To serve: 3 Florida cops caught lying after video released

“Three Florida cops have been charged and jailed following weeks of investigation into inconsistent statements surrounding a drug bust at a motel room last November.

Kissimmee police officers Tiffany Hall, Taylor McFee and Felix Echevarria were all charged with official misconduct and suspended without pay on Tuesday. Hall also faces charges of perjury and falsifying records.

Hall had testified under oath that she saw Jonathan Elliot make a drug transaction with another man and that he then agreed to speak with her after she knocked on the door of his room at the Tropicana Motel on West Vine Street.

In charging affidavits, Hall wrote that Elliot was arrested after he confessed to smoking pot and pointed to his stash, which contained 29.9 grams of cannabis – but the man testified in court that he never talked to the officer beforehand, and the three officers barged into his room.

The cops were then exposed after 30 seconds of grainy surveillance video revealed that Hall’s version of events was false, and Elliot’s felony marijuana possession charges were dropped.

The footage, which prosecutors did not know existed until the day of the hearing, shows the three officers surrounding Room 208 and then walking inside one by one before exiting 12 minutes later with Elliot in handcuffs.

“When things are [being said] that aren’t really happening, that’s when I have an issue,” Elliot said after he was cleared in the case. “But the fact they were able to get that video and actually see what went down… it’s a blessing.”

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service issued a proposed rule Monday to codify parts of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, which was championed by Mrs. Obama.

The regulation would punish schools and state departments with fines for “egregious or persistent disregard” for the lunch rules that imposed sodium and calorie limits and banned white grains.

A West Virginia preschool teacher was threatened with fines for violating the rules by rewarding her students with candy for good behavior in June 2015. The teacher ultimately did not have to pay, but the school had to develop a “corrective action plan” with training on the policies.

The government now seeks to make fines enforceable by regulation. Section 303 of the law requires that the federal government “establish criteria for the imposition of fines” for all the Department of Agriculture’s child food programs.”

Intelligence agency to use home smart devices for spying

“The US intelligence chief has acknowledged for the first time that agencies might use a new generation of smart household devices to increase their surveillance capabilities.

As increasing numbers of devices connect to the internet and to one another, the so-called internet of things promises consumers increased convenience – the remotely operated thermostat from Google-owned Nest is a leading example. But as home computing migrates away from the laptop, the tablet and the smartphone, experts warn that the security features on the coming wave of automobiles, dishwashers and alarm systems lag far behind.

In an appearance at a Washington think tank last month, the director of the National Security Agency, Adm Michael Rogers, said that it was time to consider making the home devices “more defensible”, but did not address the opportunities that increased numbers and even categories of connected devices provide to his surveillance agency.

However, James Clapper, the US director of national intelligence, was more direct in testimony submitted to the Senate on Tuesday as part of an assessment of threats facing the United States.

“In the future, intelligence services might use the [internet of things] for identification, surveillance, monitoring, location tracking, and targeting for recruitment, or to gain access to networks or user credentials,” Clapper said.

Clapper did not specifically name any intelligence agency as involved in household-device surveillance. But security experts examining the internet of things take as a given that the US and other surveillance services will intercept the signals the newly networked devices emit, much as they do with those from cellphones. Amateurs are already interested in easily compromised hardware; computer programmer John Matherly’s search engine Shodan indexes thousands of completely unsecured web-connected devices.”

Right, so I am paranoid because I have a GPS blocker on my car and tape over the camera on my desktop monitor camera.

Seriously, where is the end all to this leviathan?

Think JEB can fix it? Or Cruz? Or Trump?

Not in our lifetime will we ever see our republic restored to it’s original intent

Not when the bureaucracy just continues to add layer after layer of freedom robbing regulations

Police Chiefs Say Scrutiny Over Videos Has Radically Changed Their Work

“Before the August 2014 fatal police shooting in Ferguson, Mo., of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, the effectiveness of most police chiefs was determined largely by crime rates and response times to 911 calls.

Now, chiefs say that cultivating better community relations — including everything from curtailing police shootings and eliminating racial profiling to requiring officers to be more polite and professional — has become as important a gauge of success as crime reduction, even though such work does not always easily lend itself to being measured.

“Police chiefs definitely have a shorter shelf life post-Ferguson, and they are more scrutinized and criticized for things they weren’t held responsible for before,” said Charles McClelland, Houston’s police chief, who said he agreed with the change in focus. “Pre-Ferguson, you were held responsible only for the crime rate — now it is community relations. One egregious act of misconduct by a police officer can get a police chief fired. It wasn’t like that before.”

As if in acknowledgment of the changed atmosphere, the authorities in San Bernardino, Calif., made officers quickly available to the news media after the department’s quick response to the terrorist shooting there last week, which killed 14 people.

The job of police chief has changed partly because of the dramatic reduction in violent crime since the 1990s, which, especially after the Ferguson shooting, has led the public to demand that departments shift their focus to police accountability.

“Since crime has been so low for so long, there are very high expectations in terms of what people expect of police chiefs,” said Inimai M. Chettiar, the director of the justice program at the Brennan Center for Justice, a nonpartisan public policy institute affiliated with the New York University School of Law. “Not only are they expected to keep down crime, but now they are expected to treat people with courtesy. That is new.”

I know that a lot of people think that I am beating a dead horse with the anti cop stuff I am now posting frequently

But I don’t think that it is

As you you can see from the above real change is beginning to happen

“Not only are they expected to keep down crime, but now they are expected to treat people with courtesy. That is new.”

I mean really, who would have thought?

But that is actually the point of the stuff that I post

The police state is out of control and has to be reigned in

I am sure that not every cop is bad, but I am fairly certain that it is not a case of just a few bad apples

From the evidence that I have seen I think that the bad cop has become the standard, not the exception

And that has to change

And between bloggers, activists and cameras

It appears to be happening

Over 1/4 of Americans believe that goverment is the enemy

WASHINGTON (CBSDC)– “More than 1 in 4 Americans believe that the government is the enemy, according to a new poll.

Pew Research Center found that 27 percent of registered voters say they think of government as an enemy, up 8 points since 1996. The latest poll looked at general public opinion regarding the federal government.”

“More than a third (35 percent) of Republicans believe the federal government is the enemy, while 34 percent of Independents believe the same. The poll found that half of all Democrats (50 percent) view the government as a friend and only 12 percent see it as the enemy.”

“The majority of Americans feel the federal government has room for serious improvement, with 59 percent saying the government needs “very major reform.” Only 37 percent of voters felt that way in 1997.”

Well, looks like we are getting through to people after all

When enough people finally wake up then it will really be time for hope and change

JEB proves that he is a full on retard

“Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush wants the United States to declare war on ISIS.

Speaking on “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Bush addressed the recent attacks in Paris and said that he believes America has a responsibility to lead in the fight against what he called “this radical Islamist threat.”

“This is viewed as a law enforcement exercise by the Obama administration. We should declare war,” Bush said. “We have the capabilities to do this. We just have to show the will.”

His desire to call for war could provoke comparisons to his brother, President George W. Bush, who sent troops to Iraq in what became a widely unpopular war against terrorism after the September 11 attacks on the U.S.”

“The former Florida governor listed a number of actions he thinks President Barack Obama should take, including declaring a no-fly zone over Syria and directly arming the Peshmerga forces in Iraq. Bush also declared that he wants to American boots on the ground in the fight against ISIS.”

A no fly zone over Syria

What a genius

Russia is flying hundreds of sorties a week and bombing the hell out of the people that are supposedly our allies

And JEB proposes that we make a no fly zone

In fact he believes that it is the most important thing that we can do to defeat ISIS

That and boots on the ground

So let us do an Iraq replay but this time with Russia adding extra flavor

No thanks Mr. Bush

Between your brother and your father

We have already been fucked to high heaven and back

Don’t run JEB, just walk

America has had enough of Bushes with bad ideas

President Obama has made history by becoming the first sitting U.S. president to pose for the cover of an LGBT magazine

“Obama granted a wide-ranging interview to the LGBT publication, weighing in on his administration’s focus on LGBT rights, the “generational difference” in his daughters’ attitudes toward homosexuality and the role the United States could play in challenging the human rights records of more restrictive regimes in Middle Eastern countries.”
