More than 700,000 boycott Target over transgender bathroom policy

” A conservative Christian activist group has gained more than half a million signatures and counting from people pledging to boycott Target over its transgender bathroom policy.

The petition started by the American Family Association on Wednesday raises concerns that Target’s inclusive stance on transgender rights encourages sexual predators and puts women and young girls in danger, because “a man can simply say he ‘feels like a woman today’ and enter the women’s restroom.”

The boycott has more than 744,800 signatures as of Tuesday afternoon, marking it as one of AFA’s most popular campaigns.

“This is the best response we’ve ever had this quick,” says AFA President Tim Wildmon, attributing the protest’s viral nature to the fact that “everybody knows who Target is, and it’s an easy-to-understand issue.”

Wildmon says Target stands “to lose a lot of customers who won’t come back.” But Target is standing by its policy.

“We certainly respect that there are a wide variety of perspectives and opinions,” says Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder. “As a company that firmly stands behind what it means to offer our team an inclusive place to work — and our guests an inclusive place to shop — we continue to believe that this is the right thing for Target.”

Obama Appointee To Activists: White House ‘Aggressively Engaged’ In Transgender Fight

“A top Obama appointee in the Department of Education personally assured a group of LGBT activists that the White House is “aggressively engaged” in the fight to allow transgender students use whichever bathroom they please at school.

DOE Assistant Secretary for the Office of Civil Rights Catherine Lhamon delivered the good news at an LGBT summit hosted by the White House in Michigan last Thursday, where she gave the keynote address.

The event was co-sponsored by activist group Equality Michigan, which has led a statewide charge to allow schoolchildren choose their name, gender and bathroom, all without parental knowledge or input. Officials from seven different federal agencies attended the event, according to the Equality Michigan website.

Equality Michigan executive director Steph White blasted out a giddy email to supporters after the event, which she called “a great catalyst that will propel our collective work forward.”  The email included an excerpt from Lhamon’s remarks, which White called “refreshingly clear.”

Speaking about the Obama administration, Lhamon told attendees: “We are serious. We are aggressively engaged. We will enforce Title IX.” The Daily Caller has filed a FOIA request with the Department of Education for Lhamon’s full remarks.

Under Lhamon’s guidance, the DOE’s Office of Civil Rights has ruled that schools will be in violation of Title IX if they do not permit transgender students to use the bathroom and locker rooms of their choice. The administration has made clear that giving private, single-user bathrooms is not a sufficient accommodation. That is: schools must allow boys who think they’re girls to shower and change alongside actual girls.”

But I believe that I have achieved culinary perfection

Ingredients:

Baked chicken breast that is pull apart tender (Warm)

Cooked Bacon marinated at least 10 Min. with liquid smoke before cooking (Warm)

Edam cheese (Gouda can be substituted)

Ciabatta rolls (The more tender the better)

1- Ripe Avocado mashed *

1/4 C. finely chopped Spinach*

3- Large red globe grapes minced*

2-TBLS Cream cheese*

1-slice Edam cheese 1/4″ thick

1-Tsp. Grey Poupon or similar mustard*

1/2- Tsp. salt*

1- Tsp. pepper*

2-tsp. Garlic powder*

1/2 Tsp. lime juice*

1 -Tsp. 1st cold pressed olive oil *

1 -TBLS red wine vinegar

1-TBLS Balsamic vinegar

1- 1/4″ sliced Tomato for each sandwich

Butter

Start by marinating the Tomato slices in the Balsamic and red wine vinegar for at least 10 minutes

Mix all of the asterisked ingredients together making sure the cream cheese gets mixed in well with the avocado and dry ingredients

Slice the Ciabatta rolls and butter the cut side and grill at medium heat until golden brown

While the rolls are grilling put butter on the grill and lay the Edam cheese directly on the grill removing when it begins to soften

Put the Edam on the top of the roll and then the bacon

Take chunks of of the chicken breast and put on the bottom of roll adding a very liberal amount of the Avocado mix on top

Add the marinated tomato slice and then assemble the sandwich

Mayor of London suggests ‘part-Kenyan’ Obama may have ‘ancestral dislike’ of UK : W.H gets busted lying about Churchill bust

“Boris Johnson has criticised the US president Barack Obama and suggested his attitude to Britain might be based on his “part-Kenyan” heritage and “ancestral dislike of the British empire”.

Writing a column for The Sun newspaper the outgoing Mayor of London recounted a story about a bust of Winston Churchill purportedly being removed from White House.

“Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan President’s ancestral dislike of the British empire – of which Churchill had been such a fervent defender,” he wrote.

The White House said in 2012 that the story of the bust being moved was “100 per cent false” and that the bust remained in the White House, having been moved to the President’s private residence.

It was however later forced to clarify that the Churchill bust still located in the President’s residence was in fact a different bust, and that one had indeed been removed.

Cuban exile to be deported after 50 Yrs.

“That is a reality now facing Cuban exile activist Ramón Saúl Sánchez, leader of the Democracy Movement, who received a letter Thursday from the federal government ordering him to leave the country as soon as possible. The order arrived just as he planned to sail across the Florida Straits as part of a flotilla off the coast of Cuba, organized as a show of solidarity with political prisoners in Cuban jails.

Sánchez, who obtained legal entry into the U.S. in what is known as a “parole,” had applied for permanent residency in 2002 so he could legally travel aboard the many flotillas he has organized over the years and return easily to the United States.

That permanent residency request has been denied and his parole has now also expired, according to the letter issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

“You are not authorized to remain in the United States and should make arrangements to depart as soon as possible,” stated the letter, dated April 7 and received by Sánchez on Thursday. “Failure to depart may result in your being found ineligible for immigration benefits and inadmissible to the United States in the future.”

“Health insurance companies are amplifying their warnings about the financial sustainability of the ObamaCare marketplaces as they seek approval for premium increases next year.

Insurers say they are losing money on their ObamaCare plans at a rapid rate, and some have begun to talk about dropping out of the marketplaces altogether.

“Something has to give,” said Larry Levitt, an expert on the health law at the Kaiser Family Foundation. “Either insurers will drop out or insurers will raise premiums.”

While analysts expect the market to stabilize once premiums rise and more young, healthy people sign up, some observers have not ruled out the possibility of a collapse of the market, known in insurance parlance as a “death spiral.”

In the short term, there is a growing likelihood that insurers will push for substantial premium increases, creating a political problem for Democrats in an election year.

Insurers have been pounding the drum about problems with ObamaCare pricing.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association released a widely publicized report last month that said new enrollees under ObamaCare had 22 percent higher medical costs than people who received coverage from employers.

A report from McKinsey & Company found that in the individual market, which includes the ObamaCare marketplaces, insurers lost money in 41 states in 2014, and were only profitable in 9 states.

“We continue to have serious concerns about the sustainability of the public exchanges,” Mark Bertolini, the CEO of Aetna, said in February.”

“BOSTON (CBS) – A 46-year-old landscaper, who does not want to be identified, says last month he went to Brazil to visit his 90-year-old ailing father.

While he was there he was bitten by several mosquitoes. When he returned home to the U.S. he discovered he had the Zika virus.

“My lips burned all over. I could feel my skin shrinking in my face and ears,” he said. “I was very hot.”

Health officials say there are seven reported cases of Zika virus in Massachusetts. All are connected to people who were traveling abroad. Now they also say mosquitoes capable of carrying the Zika virus can now be found in 30 states.

The man says he had a rash all over his body and his temperature reached 110 degrees.”

The social media company’s founder and chief executive said the world has become a global community and warned against people and nations trying to isolate themselves — a possible allusion to GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump, who has heavily pushed a plan to finish building a wall along the Mexican border to limit the influx of immigrants coming to the country illegally.
