Anyone know where this guy lives? This asshole does this publicly?
Kirk Bangstad, owner of Minocqua Brewing Company, is attempting to use the same playbook as the similar lawsuits in other states.
The lawsuit alleges that Trump is “ineligible” to hold office for engaging in an “insurrection,” even though he has not been charged with or faced trial for that crime.
Like the others, the lawsuit cites Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which was adopted after the Civil War.
Bangstad told Wisconsin Public Radio that Trump “continuously lied” about the 2020 election results and noted that hundreds of people have been charged and convicted over the January 6 protest.
The liberal activist also pointed to the convictions of two former members of the Proud Boys for seditious conspiracy, though one of the men, Enrique Tarrio, was not even in DC at the time of the protest.
“They committed violence against our country because Trump essentially asked them to,” Bangstad said. “There’s no question about that. So to me, it’s worth trying even though it’s an anachronism of an amendment that hasn’t been used since the Civil War.”
As you might have heard, we are still waiting on the global warming in Sweden. We just had the coldest temperature this century.
Back in 2006 the media warned us that by 2026 people would have forgotten how to ski because of the lack of snow…
Now it’s being reported that a person living in Arjeplog noted a chillingly cold -49,7C (that’s -57,5 Fahrenheit) on his thermometer before it stopped working when it hit -50C.
This is very close to being the coldest temperature ever recorded in Sweden. The record sits at -52,6C all the way back in 1966.October 5, 2022
Read full storyThis cold weather is causing trouble for public transport. You see, the city of Skellefteå where they “only” had -34C this morning, have been investing in electric busses, to save the climate of course! Their goal is to replace all diesel busses with electric as soon as possible.
My prediction…. 2024 is going to be quite a ride. For all you students of history… Look at all the mass migrations and huge population shifts going on within our borders. Tyranny and all out Fuckery are on the rise and we are going to be trampled and cowed or.. well not. But the not is going to be on us.
NATO has a huge problem that will take decades to overcome. Put most simply, the armor vehicles NATO has won’t survive in a firefight with the Russians, notwithstanding the fact that Russian armor is far from the best.
NATO does not have enough tanks, does not have sound logistics to support them, and faces significant problems coming up against modern Russian ground forces.
The Leopard tank has performed poorly, despite Ukrainian efforts to try and fix some of its many problems.
Even when it comes to the American M-1 Abrams tanks, Forbes reports the Ukrainians have not put it on the battlefield – probably because US advisors have told them it wouldn’t survive and the destruction of the Abrams would give the US a black eye.
So, instead, the Ukrainians have been urgently trying to “upgrade” the Abrams by gluing on Russian reactive armor and building cages on top of the tanks’ turrets to ward off Russian Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles.
“The FBI executed three federal arrest warrants early this morning at a ranch in Groveland, Florida in Lake County,” the FBI Tampa Field Office said in a statement. “The subjects taken into custody are January 6 fugitives Jonathan Daniel Pollock, Olivia Michele Pollock, and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III. The defendants are scheduled to appear in Federal Court in Ocala, Florida on Monday, January 8. No further details concerning their capture are available at this time.”
Jonathan Pollock has been at large since the summer of 2021, when he was indicted alongside his sister Olivia Pollock, Hutchinson and two others. Federal authorities said Hutchinson had been an employee at the Pollock family’s gun shop in Lakeland, Florida. Olivia Pollock and Hutchinson have been fugitives since the summer of 2023, when they failed to show up to their trials.
Yep, he’ll be wearing a dress and sporting boobs here shortly
Take look at the picture below and tell me that is not the face of a pole smoker
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin went into the hospital on Monday for complications following an elective surgery, the Pentagon announced Friday.
He has been discharged and is expected to resume his full duties Friday evening, Air Force Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said in a statement.
“It was an evolving situation, and taking privacy into account,” Ryder told Military Times of the decision not to disclose Austin’s health status when he was first hospitalized.
Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks has been filling in where necessary, Ryder said.
“The deputy has conducted some routine business for department on his behalf,” he said.
It’s only the latest effort targeting congressional candidates as Democrats seek to bar opponents as “insurrectionists” for questioning the election of President Biden.
We have become a nation of Madame Defarges — eagerly knitting names of those to be subject to arbitrary justice.
Former congressional candidate Gene Stilp, who’s previously made headlines by burning MAGA flags with swastikas outside courthouses, filed the challenge.
Using the 14th Amendment to disqualify candidates like Perry is consistent with Stilp’s signature flag-burning stunts.
But what’s chilling is how many support such efforts, including Democratic officeholders from Maine’s Secretary of State to dozens of members of Congress.
Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) sought to bar 126 members of Congress under the same theory for challenging the election before Jan. 6, 2021.
Similar legislation from Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) to disqualify members got 63 co-sponsors, all Democrats, including New York Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman and Ritchie Torres and “Squad” members Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.
