A life of few regrets

My only regret will be
If I have to leave her behind
That love
That I love more than myself
Leave her in the cold
Surrounded by the wolves
Who will have consumed me
While she cries over
My cold body
Gone hard to the touch
My love faded
With the last beating
Of my heart
Alone in this world
But I can’t stop
I speak the truth
Because freedom
Burns in my veins
My heart pumps warrior blood
And I don’t know
How
To not fight

Hard truths from TL Davis . Read it all.

There is really nothing left to say, is there? Do we wait for the next Bundy Ranch? We all have our lives and we are walking on eggshells hoping to get a few more things tied up before we have to step out from our protective barriers called “lives” and become counter-revolutionaries. We have to stop trying to protect those things that are lost. We cannot hold onto what we have and do anything substantial to overcome the tyranny of the current corrupt system.

I don’t know if I’ll write another post. The communication issue is persistent and maybe some folks are working on it, I don’t know, they have not responded, not to me, anyway. I hope so. As far as defense is concerned, I have it figured out for myself. I have always been working on a plan to secure my people. I have assets others do not, so I take it all a bit for granted.

The one thing we need to know is that we are not functional and cannot get functional without dropping the mask of propriety we cling to so desperately. I understand those who train, but that is with the idea of survival and to be honest, I think if you are active in this movement, you will not survive the first round. Might as well buy that cow right now. Either you will die attempting to do something constructive for the movement, or you will be targeted and taken down before you raise a finger in resistance.

I equate this situation to being the first of those troops coming out of the landing craft on D-Day. Accept your role, prepare a replacement, but if you think you are going to stand in front of that door as it falls away from you and survive, you are kidding yourself. We are martyrs and I don’t consider that term in an honorable context, but it is a fact. No one on D-Day wanted to watch their lives disappear, but they manned-up and they did it. Maybe they were absolutely terrified, transfixed by the horror of it, but they were there to be the calculated number required to reach the cliffs. That is how these things are figured out: i.e. how many lives are required for troops to reach the cliffs and how many will be required to scale the cliffs, etc. You are a number, an amount required to reach the cliffs. Anyone, who has been in the service, should understand this concept.

If you need Constitutional violations to motivate you, they are there; if you need abuse of power evidence to motivate you, it is there; if you need the government to investigate you, have the IRS harass you to motivate you, it is there; if you need patriotism to motivate you, look at the VA scandal and see what they think of our defenders of their power and that should motivate you. At this point, if you are not motivated to act, take off the III patch, delete the blogs from your list and just slip away into nothingness. The one thing you should not do, is involve anyone else in your plan. Make a plan, plan your plan and execute your plan. Start small, build up, protect your actions if you can.

The conclusion I have come to is simply this: they mean to take everything I have, imprison everyone I care about and if possible take me alive and torture me for the names of everyone I know. That’s enough for me.

I won’t shut the blog down, but to be honest, I really don’t give a damn.

Incrementum of dominatus

It was relegated to the old root cellar
Dropped in haste in  forgotten storage
Where dimmest beam of shafted light
Kept it ‘live in yellowed life , weak and twisted
Root and vine, seeking sickly , striving life
But now it’s out in planted field
Furrowed in and giving yield
Vine and bud quickly growing
Spreading out and surely choking
All the other crops of life
Air and water , precious light
Strangled , starved , beneath the blight
It feeds upon all below
In rapid spreading nourished growth
Soon to cover , spread to all
Like a weed , all fields will fall
So grows the tyranny imposed on men
Carefully planted and watered in

Edward Snowden : “Every citizen has a duty to resist”

From U.S news and world report- Steven Nelson

Complete article here: http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2014/04/30/edward-snowden-bashes-james-clapper-offers-advice-to-would-be-whistleblowers

Exiled whistleblower Edward Snowden accepted the Ridenhour Prize for truth-telling Wednesday, given in celebration of his disclosure of the National Security Agency’s massive phone and Internet surveillance programs.

“A year ago there was no way I could have imagined being honored in this room,” Snowden told an audience at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., via a choppy video feed from Russia. “I realized the most likely outcome [of giving classified documents to the press] was that I would spend the rest of my life in prison.”

“We haven’t won the day … but we will get there,” he said.

Danielle Brian, a member of the selection committee, prefaced his speech by saying some people associated with the prize were “uncomfortable” with giving it to Snowden.

“I’m certainly not one of those who is uncomfortable,” declared investigative author James Bamford as he took over the introduction.

Before Snowden’s leaks, Bamford said, the intelligence community had nearly relapsed to its abuse practices during the reign of former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. The NSA was a “runaway surveillance train,” he said.

Now, the electronic spy agency once jokingly referred to as “No Such Agency” is known as “Not Secret Anymore” among NSA workers, Bamford said, citing confidential sources.

Throughout his acceptance speech Snowden hammered Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for lying to Congress on March 12, 2013, about whether the NSA was collecting information on millions of Americans.

Snowden said he asked a co-worker at the time why nobody would expose the truth, and co-worker told him, “Do you know what happens to people who do?”

The whistleblower said it was ironic that he faced three felony charges within 24 hours of revealing his identity while the perjurious spy boss wasn’t punished, and contrasted his violation of an employment contract with Clapper’s oath-breaking.

“We watch our own people more closely than any population in the world,” Snowden said. “That is not hyperbole.”

He repeated a previous claim that he could tap the phone of anyone – even the president – if he was provided a personal email address.

Laura Poitras, the documentary filmmaker who disseminated documents that Snowden leaked, was also honored.

“I’d like to share this award with my beloved colleague Glenn Greenwald,” she said, also via video feed. Poitras and Greenwald, formerly of The Guardian, are reportedly the only people will access to the complete trove of Snowden-leaked documents.

In April 2013, Poitras recalled, she received an email from Snowden saying he planned to claim credit after the press reported his leaks. Two months later – after the bombshells dropped about the NSA collecting all American phone records and directly accessing information from major U.S. technology companies – he did so before flying from Hong Kong to Moscow.

Following their speeches, Bamford, Snowden and Poitras took turns asking each other questions.

Bamford asked Snowden to give advice to future NSA whistleblowers.

“If they’re going to do it they better have encryption,” he said, and avoid using their home IP address. “Ideally, work with Congress in advance to make sure we have reformed laws and better protections.”

“Every citizen has a duty to resist” government actions that are immoral or unethical, Snowden said. He then asked Poitras for her opinion on whether the NSA should be divided into two parts, one offensive and one defensive.

“If we were to separate those things I’m not sure what oversight we’d have,” she responded.

Snowden also asked Poitras how confident she was in the House and Senate intelligence committees’ capability to reform the NSA, compared to the chambers’ respective judiciary committees.

Secret call recorded between Putin and Obama

Choom: Vlad, you’re really bringing my buzz down. We really need to talk about this. You have totally busted my buzz with this Crimea thing.

Vlad: Let me call you back, I just speared a shark and don’t want to drop my phone

Choom: Wait! Don’t hang up, I have everyone all over my ass to do something. Even Michelle is pissed off because I look like such a fool. Why don’t we get together for a smoke? Talk about this like men.

Vlad: (uproarious laughter drowned out by the sound of outboard engine powering through a wave)

Choom: What? I didn’t quite catch that (Sound of deep inhaling) Yo’ how ’bout it, got time for a smoke?

Choom: Vlad? Vlad? Hey dude can you hear?

Vlad: Dave’s not home.

Choom: Vlad? Vlad? Dude? Don’t hang up!

Choom: Crap. (Sound of deep inhaling)

Catholic league calls for boycott of Guinness, Heineken and Samuel Adams

BOYCOTT GUINNESS, SAM ADAMS, HEINEKEN

“None of these companies believe in diversity. No gay person has ever been barred from marching in any St. Patrick’s Day parade, anymore than the parade bans pro-life Catholics or vegetarian Catholics; they simply cannot march under their own banner. The parade has one cause: honoring St. Patrick. Those who disagree do not have to march—that’s what diversity is all about.

The parade is quintessentially Catholic, beginning with a Mass in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. It is this Catholic element that angers those who are engaged in a bullying campaign against the St. Patrick’s Day parades. The bullies also have nothing but contempt for the constitutional rights of Irish Catholics.

In 1995, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 9-0 decision that the First Amendment guarantees the right of private parade organizers to determine its own rules for marching. It is this liberty that the makers of Guinness, Heineken, and Sam Adams want to squash.”

Administration considering killing American citizen with drone strike

http://www.breitbart.com/system/wire/ap_ca2280e951cf462fbf8e308fd52b7a9b

“But one U.S. official said the Defense Department was divided over whether the man is dangerous enough to merit the potential domestic fallout of killing an American without charging him with a crime or trying him, and the potential international fallout of such an operation in a country that has been resistant to U.S. action.”

“killing an American without charging him with a crime or trying him” Yes, this is the America we now live in. They are worried about the fallout if they kill him without charging him with a crime. It’s not the law they are concerned with or the constitution, but the fallout.     Maybe we can accuse them of treason…or worse, and drag them out of their offices and hang them from the light poles. Why not? If is good enough for them, why not for us? They are leading us on a path of destruction and tyranny and they pose more of a danger to our freedom than Al Qaida. Who needs to charge them with a crime or try them?    Boy, I woke up without a sense of humor this morning….Can I have a drone strike with that doughnut?

Group calls for national boycott of Girl scout cookies

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/29/Wendy-Davis-Triggers-National-Boycott-of-Girl-Scout-Cookies

In addition to the above article, there are many other reasons not to promote the Girl scouts. For years now the GS have been pushing a leftist agenda that is becoming more apparent as time passes. When it comes to financing the agenda of the left, just say no, even if it makes a little girl cry.

“Last year, the Girl Scouts decided to admit boys who dress as girls. When asked to admit a cross-dressing 7-year-old boy, a Colorado troop leader demurred, explaining to his mother, with tact and irrefutable logic, that her son couldn’t be a Girl Scout because he has “boy parts.”

The troop leader was chastised by the mom as being insensitive and promptly was overruled by the Girl Scout top brass, who, in a statement said, “If a child identifies as a girl and the child’s family presents her as a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout.” Perpetuating this cruel charade on the little boy and forcing little girls to participate in it is “inclusiveness” to the Girl Scouts. To others, it’s child abuse.

But it shouldn’t be surprising: The Girl Scouts have a cross-dresser in the front office.

Ten years ago, Girl Scouts media relations officer Joshua Ackley was frontman for the “homopunk” band the Dead Betties. In publicity shots, he’s dressed in women’s clothing, and in music videos, he appears to be naked and feigning masturbation. The video for “Hellevator” portrays a woman being strangled in an elevator shaft while Mr. Ackley flashes a menacing grin.”  Cathy Cleaver Ruse

United auto workers union endorses occupy wall street

UAW endorses Occupy Wall Street!

The International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) endorses the Occupy Wall Street movement because, as an institution, we envision a strong United States of America with a strong middle-class America at its core. This movement is about economic and social justice. As a voice for the middle class as well as our members, the UAW doesn’t stand against corporate success. But we believe that success shouldn’t be at the expense of American communities.
Citing the long overdue need to reorder America’s economic priorities, the UAW will commit resources and activate its membership nationally in support of reclaiming the American economy on behalf of working men and women, the poor, the elderly, the unemployed and our nation’s youth.

The anti-worker, anti-middle class corporate GOP-agenda puts public education, public service and infrastructure investment at risk. Without strong education at the K-12 and university level, we will not produce an educated and skilled labor force to compete in the global economy of today. Without infrastructure investment and good public services, our communities miss out on opportunities to attract businesses to our regions.

As corporations and the finance industry grew, so did the disparity in wealth and income for the 99 percent in the rest of America. As Wall Street’s pay rebounds, Main Street’s pay is continuously under attack. America is a country where dreams are made and realized. Labor, legislature and corporations can work together to build a strong middle class, create good jobs, rebuild our manufacturing sector, and increase investments in research and development.

Together, we can provide dignity and security to the middle class.
“America is not broke,” said UAW President Bob King. “We have the resources to turn our economy around. The courage and determination of the Occupy Wall Street movement has galvanized generations of Americans fed up with corporate greed and feeling powerless. They have a vision toward a more just, equal and fair society – demanding real democracy.”

UAW members throughout the New York area and around the country have been participating in Occupy Wall Street, including the demonstration against police brutality, the march across the Brooklyn Bridge and participating in the occupation of Zucotti Park on Wall Street’s doorstep.

“We recognize the need to work together and learn from each other,” said Julie Kushner, UAW Region 9A director. “The vitality, energy and dialogue growing from the Occupy Wall Street movement show the potential to organize, build power and win justice for the middle class.”

“Our members in New York and throughout the region are activists and deeply committed to building a coalition-based movement. Fighting for jobs and economic justice and demanding that millionaires pay their fair share is something we are proud to be a part of in the Occupy Wall Street movement,” Kushner added.

Occupy Wall Street has also been endorsed by Region 9A, which encompasses eastern New York, including New York City, the New England states and Puerto Rico; the UAW New York Area CAP Council; and the UAW Massachusetts CAP Council.

Not one dime to any car maker that has UAW in it’s plants. They not only support OWS , but many openly communist causes. They have a policy to wear red (Go figure) on Wednesdays to support public sector workers. Starve the beast and let the workers know what their dues support.

How to kill a predator drone

https://uscrow.org/2013/08/05/how-to-kill-predator-drones-uavs/

I always figured that one morning, as I sipped hot coffee and munched on a doughnut, fermenting discord among the rabble,  a hellfire missile would come through my window and blow me into a bunch of  pissed off little pieces. Now with the help of US crow there is finally hope.  The article is actually on com-blocking the control system, but that would be good enough for me. It would appear that with sufficient knowledge and basic radio electronics, you could actually commandeer it.  I don’t possess that level of skill myself , but if I did, I would have a solution for that little dog that barks all frikkin night long down the street…

Ford using GPS to track customers

Mike Dana ,Fierce wireless

Ford has come under fire over concerns the company and other auto makers are tracking motorists’ movements via GPS data derived from their automobiles, a situation that has pushed one lawmaker to ask Ford to disclose exactly what GPS data it obtains from its cars and what it does with that information.

The situation stems from a GAO report that found auto makers including Ford don’t effectively disclose what location data they collect and exactly what they do with that data. It was exacerbated by statements a Ford executive made to Business Insider last week that “We know everyone who breaks the law. We know when you’re doing it. We have GPS in your car, so we know what you’re doing. By the way, we don’t supply that data to anyone.”

Another reason to buy American made foreign cars. I personally will not donate another single dime to the Communist UAW.  I do currently own a Ford though and a GPS blocker that stays plugged into my lighter socket. I have looked numerous times for the offending device without any luck. If I can ever find it I am going to make some modifications to it with a ball peen hammer. In the mean time the blocker will have to do.

NSA tracks using Google cookies

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2013/12/10/nsa-uses-google-cookies-to-pinpoint-targets-for-hacking/?clsrd

One more reason not to use Google; NSA using Google specific “PREF” tracking cookies.   “In addition to tracking Web visits, this cookie allows NSA to single out an individual’s communications among the sea of Internet data in order to send out software that can hack that person’s computer. The slides say the cookies are used to “enable remote exploitation,” although the specific attacks used by the NSA against targets are not addressed in these documents.”   Google is now clamoring for tighter controls on surveillance but I am sure that they are in it neck deep. They have been in bed with the government for years and are only now speaking out because they have been caught at it.   I use a search engine called Duck duck go because they have no tracking and would not use Google if my life depended on it.

“We will pry your gun from your cold, dead, fingers” Military leader calls for citizen disarmament

http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/bateman-on-guns-120313

Douchebag extrodinaire Lt Col. Robert Bateman calls for the disarmarment of American citizens in a recent Esquire opinion piece. In the article, linked above, he uses language that belies what he is actually saying. The article is littered with references to violence and his disdain for the law.   “My entire adult life has been dedicated to the deliberate management of violence. There are no two ways around that fact. My job, at the end of the day, is about killing. I orchestrate violence.” ” I am not proud of that fact. Indeed, I am often torn-up by the realization that not only is this my job, but that I am really good at my job.”    He ends his first statement with “My job, at the end of the day is about killing”.  At the beginning of the second statement he attempts to mitigate the implications of his first statement but then negates that with ” I am really good at my job”.   Below is the actual plan that he lays out.  Notice the language sprinkled through out  it that thinly veneers his disdain for the citizenry. ” you cannot bring down a defenseless deer in under five rounds, then you have no fking reason to be holding a killing tool in the first place.”  “That will piss off some cops, since they really need this money. But you know what they need more? Less violence and death”   ” will be bought out by the United States of America, for our own damned good. “.      Within his plan he uses the mother of all violent phrases   “We will pry your gun from your cold, dead, fingers.”  After using violent phraseology he then attempts to mitigate the language by adding “That is because I am willing to wait until you die, hopefully of natural causes”.   That is like looking someone in the eye and telling them that you are going to send them to their grave, after they are dead of course. The cat is out of the bag when you make the first statement and your true intent is being shown.      I think that the good Col. has shown cleary through his language what his true intent is. He repeatedly demonstrates that he thinks his view is superior to that of the court and he is willing to use violence to achieve his ends. He just can’t say it at the moment… Not yet anyway. A lot of people have commented on the piece that he wrote and “Traitor” and “Oathbreaker” are recurring themes, but I think it goes farther than that; I believe that he is a clear and present danger.

1. The only guns permitted will be the following:

  • a. Smoothbore or Rifled muzzle-loading blackpowder muskets. No 7-11 in history has ever been held up with one of these.
  • b. Double-barrel breech-loading shotguns. Hunting with these is valid.
  • c. Bolt-action rifles with a magazine capacity no greater than five rounds. Like I said, hunting is valid. But if you cannot bring down a defenseless deer in under five rounds, then you have no fking reason to be holding a killing tool in the first place.

2. We will pry your gun from your cold, dead, fingers. That is because I am willing to wait until you die, hopefully of natural causes. Guns, except for the three approved categories, cannot be inherited. When you die your weapons must be turned into the local police department, which will then destroy them. (Weapons of historical significance will be de-milled, but may be preserved.)

3. Police departments are no longer allowed to sell or auction weapons used in crimes after the cases have been closed. (That will piss off some cops, since they really need this money. But you know what they need more? Less violence and death. By continuing the process of weapon recirculation, they are only making their jobs — or the jobs of some other cops — harder.)

4. We will submit a new tax on ammunition. In the first two years it will be 400 percent of the current retail cost of that type of ammunition. (Exemptions for the ammo used by the approved weapons.) Thereafter it will increase by 20 percent per year.

5. We will initiate a nationwide “buy-back” program, effective immediately, with the payouts coming from the DoD budget. This buy-back program will start purchasing weapons at 200 percent of their face value the first year, 150 percent the second year, 100 percent the third year. Thereafter there will be a 10 year pause, at which point the guns can be sold to the government at 10 percent of their value for the next 50 years.

6. The major gun manufactures of the United States, less those who create weapons for the federal government and the armed forces, will be bought out by the United States of America, for our own damned good.

Natural law vs. the legal system

I recently responded to an article entitled “Is the ACA legal?”. I know that my response sounds a little bitchy, but it wasn’t intended. It is just one of those things that can happen on a Wednesday morning. It wasn’t that his question irritated me, it is just irritation at the whole situation in general. I am a little lazy this morn also, so instead of starting fresh I have pasted the response below and will attempt to expound on the idea.

“Using the word legal is a joke.(No offense intended) When the laws of a nation are subverted there are many things that are “Legal”. If they ban guns or free speech and it is upheld by the SCOTUS it becomes “Legal” even while being illegitimate. If Madison’s “Tyranny of the majority” comes to fruition then the will imposed on the minority will be “Legal”. According to the ruling that robert’s (Sic) made congress can tax us for anything as a type of penalty. We can be required to buy a car or a toaster or any other nonsense and be taxed if we don’t. Stimulus anyone? Our rights and freedoms are not granted by legality and when illegitimate laws are passed they subvert natural law.”

The whole concept of natural law is bound up in the idea that some things are inherently right and wrong and are built into our nature, independent of political order, society or nation-state. When legal systems come into a state of conflict with natural law a conundrum is created that will invariably end with some type of contention.    It is often stated that the constitution guarantees our rights but that is a mistaken perception. The constitution only codifies our natural rights and spells them out as a guideline for the government.   As a human I have a right to life. I have the right to defend myself. I have a right to be free. I have the right to speak as I please. I have the right to be unencumbered by tyranny.    The government claims that they are the protector of these rights because they are in the constitution, when in fact they were codified to protect us from the government. The government (SCOTUS) defines daily what my freedoms and rights are by their rulings on the legality of matters that pertain to them. Their rulings though, have no bearing on my actual  natural rights regardless of what they rule.   Thomas Jefferson saw the potential for this abuse after the SCOTUS usurped the power of judicial review ( Ruling on the constitutionality of matters) and wrote in 1820    “You seem … to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges are as honest as other men, and not more so. They have, with others, the same passions for party, for power, and the privilege of their corps…. Their power [is] the more dangerous as they are in office for life, and not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control.”     What the end all of this game is that in order to keep my natural rights that were “Endowed” on me, I may have to  become a criminal in the eyes of the law. I have a right to freedom, but in order to insure that right I may become a criminal and be imprisoned.     Is that legal?  In the end I don’t care about the legality of the matter. If you make me a criminal I can only respond as Jesus did when asked if he was the KIng of the Jews “You have said it”.   Take that as you will.

The state of corruption/ FBI impeding IRS investigation

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/dec/2/lawmakers-suspect-fbi-is-impeding-irs-inquiry-targ/

“The department’s tactics have impeded a congressional investigation and interfered with the committee’s access to documents and information. Obstructing a congressional investigation is a crime,” Mr. Issa and Mr. Jordan said in their letter to Mr. Comey, warning that if they don’t get the information they will use “compulsory” means.”

When the rule of law no longer matters in a government, that lawlessness slowly creeps through the entire bureaucracy. As our government becomes more corrupt we are quickly moving to an Eastern block type of bureaucratic dictatorship.   Corrupt leadership quickly spreads through all levels of bureaucracy and soon all of the lettered agencies will be doing the bidding of the system.  The system, after time, takes on a life of it’s own and becomes self perpetuating; It’s end becoming it’s means.   The agencies do not have to be told what to do, they just do as part of the system and the corruption spreads until every level is permeated. Eventually every level of life will be ruled by institutionalized corruption. Even as we sit, those proverbial frogs in slowly boiling water, the chains of our own imprisonment are forged around us. It is not by chance that the system is doing all it can to spread it’s tentacles everywhere.    The system has reached the point that without direct leadership it is preparing it’s own eventuality and perpetuity. The TSA, NSA, EPA, ATF, and numerous other “Lettered” bureaus are now creeping into every aspect of life (The examples are so numerous that I need not name them)  and soon all that information and power that they are gathering will be put to use.   Right now there is only one key structure missing; A military force that can be used for control on the local level. Control comes not only by the use of force but also and mainly by intimidation. Enter into the picture now the MRAPS that are being distributed throughout the country to local law enforcement. These multi-ton armored behemoths are being snatched up like hot cakes by P.D.s across the nation and put into service as SWAT vehicles.   As this militarization takes place DHS is working to incorporate local PDs into it’s structure. Soon, and very soon, I think the end game will be upon us.   What choices at that point do we have? Any who dare to stand directly against the might of the machine will quickly be put out of their misery, met by overwhelming force . If the media mouth pieces even acknowledge their existence they will be labeled as miscreants, child molesters,  psychopaths or worse.    The answer is that we need to do what we are doing; We are dissidents now in the European sense. The dissident is actually the most dangerous thing that the system faces because He/She is the only one willing to speak the truth. While everyone else is afraid to speak so they don’t upset their comfortable, life the dissident is compelled by truth to speak out.  The system only works when everyone, with a wink and a nod, acknowledges the systems sovereignty over them and goes along with it.    The key is to live the truth and speak it and part of that truth is to acknowledge that our government has become so corrupt that we can’t vote our way out of this. It has gone too far and too long to be cured by one party or the other.       Read the excerpt below and you decide what the truth is and then decide if you have the courage to speak it. Being a dissident is a dangerous job and it has caused many to be imprisoned for lengthy terms and many will choose their comfortable ,mind numbed lives instead of truth.    But my truth is that even if you imprison me, I am still a free man, for that liberty lives within me. As long as I can think, as long as I can speak, as long as I can breathe, I have that torch. No matter what happens I will not accept the sovereignty of the system, or any man for that matter over, over my freedom. I will to the best of my ability and to my last breath, live and speak the the truth.   Put aside politics and partisanship, put aside left and right and look at the naked truth for what it is. Look at what we have become and the state of our liberty, our tattered flag of freedom barely flying. Then speak the truth.

Vaclav Havel, The power of the powerless

“This has led to the creation of such intricate and well-developed mechanisms for the direct and indirect manipulation of the entire population that, as a physical power base, it represents something radically new. At the same time, let us not forget that the system is made significantly more effective by state ownership and central direction of all the means of production. This gives the power structure an unprecedented and uncontrollable capacity to invest in itself (in the areas of the bureaucracy and the police, for example) and makes it easier for that structure, as the sole employer, to manipulate the day-to-day existence of all citizens.”
