    We had bring your dad to work campaign, we really did and we got a few bites. But these days they’re lucky to even know who their father is. We did have a lot of step fathers and mama’s boyfriend bring them in. It is a sad state of affairs today that is why so many small businesses are closing.

      About 50% of the fathers at my sister’s grandchild’s first father/daughter school dance were grandfathers, mothers or grandmothers. Her father was still in prison.

      Silver lining. At 32 years old, he was nicknamed “Old Man” by inmates. Looking around, he really was older than anyone in that block. He had a catharsis. Out and clean for a year, he’s learned quickly to become the father he should have been. Miracles do happen. Thanks be to God.
