    When I was in the Coast Guard, my ship was the floating grandstand for the local dignitaries during Fleet Week in San Francisco Bay. So I’m standing by the rail while this parade of “decorated” yachts puts by, when all of a sudden appears a yacht festooned with baby blue and pink balloons, its aft deck peopled with a dozen or so “very pretty men.” I yelled out to the guy next to me “HEY, LOOK!!! It’s the FAIRY FERRY!!!” About that time I looked up to the bridge wing above me. There stood the skipper, with the mayor of San Francisco standing next to him. The mayor was kinda chuckling. The skipper gave me this squinting “Make my day” look, rapidly shook his head, and wandered into the wheelhouse… It was priceless…
