    If Ukraine were smart, and I’m not saying they are, they would run to the negotiating table and cede the two provinces to Russia, promise to stay out of NATO, and pray that Russia accepts.

    Ukraine can’t beat Russia. Never could. Best they could hope for was to bleed Russia so badly they give up. But defeating Russia was never a possibility. If Russia is allowed to win this time they’ll be back….soon…seeking more. Putin’s ultimate goal is to reconquer eastern Europe and recreate the USSR. That can’t be allowed to happen. So all that canbe done is keep bleed Russia.
