I’d love to get rid of Puerto Rico. They haven’t wanted to belong to the US, haven’t wanted to learn English or try to do anything to integrate and belong to the US.

…not to mention we’ve given PR BILLIONS in tax breaks, aid and support to entice manufacturing companies to locate there to provide jobs and they screw it up just because they don’t really want to work. Even if we did cut them loose, we’d still have to provide them foreign aid so that they wouldn’t starve.
Then there’s the rampant corruption of the island government.

I agree with her, 100%. As long as she means by “free” and “empire fall” that all foreign aid stops forever and we stop sending our soldiers as peacekeepers. Forever. Not another penny to any foreign nation.
