Back on the injured list

Index fingertip + Sawzall with new blade = 7 stiches

I was getting a jump on Saturday last night around 6:15 and it all went wrong

Sawed through my fingertip to the bone

So much for having my 18′ chicken coop/shed done this weekend

Yep. 18′ X 9′ arched roof shed. 60 Mil pond liner for the roofing and poly-carbonate greenhouse panels for the walls

6 X 6 recycled plastic timbers for the footer and woven landscape fabric for the floor.

Maybe next week

  4. I’m sorry for your injury. I hope you heal quickly.

Every time I pick up a power tool, I try to remind myself to be careful because I’m just an amateur and this tool can really mess me up.

Yikes! I would like to offer a witty smart ass comment but me and power tools have had our run-in’s with the local Emergency Room as well. Take care and Get Well Soon! 👍👍

  6. Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark. Hope it heals quickly.

Me? I’ve always been scared to death of power tools, especially now that I’m older and have the old folks shakes. Luckily, never had a close encounter with the business end of one.

You didn’t mention how many stitches it took to close the gap or are you one of those duct tape and back to work kind of guys? 😉

    • 7 stitches right through the fingertip and some bone. I am usually a duct tape guy but I am in the dirt and water business and paw like a dog half the time.

  7. Get well soon dude. I gotta size & cut a PTO shaft tomorrow for an implement on the tractor, wish me luck….

    • Oh yeah, no slip ups there. I screwed up because I put a fresh blade in the sawzall. I cut with a dull one all week long and hit myself a couple of times a week with no cuts. I was in a hurry and couldn’t wait for the dull blade to burn through.
