I’m a veteran. My driver’s license after review by my issuing State verifies my veteran’s status. I had occasion to stop by Home Despot this past week to pick up an item. At checkout, I asked for the veteran’s discount.
I was informed by the cashier that I was now “required to register” using my phone number and required to use the phone to verify my veteran’s status every time I made a purchase at Home Despot.
I left my item and walked.
