There is a “new” variant called Arcturus which is reported as a “sub-variant” of Omicron. It’s getting so you can’t tell the players without a scorecard.

XBB.1.5 is the dominant Omicron strain here in NJ, but with the Rt below .78 nobody is catching it. Covid stats report 2 deaths from it today, 1 today. They still conflate “from” and “with” so to heck with their bogus numbers.
