Nemp, usually I like your comments, but this is bullshit. What part of confiscation includes “giving up their firearms”? They got 670,000 semi-autp .22s and auto and pump shotguns. In a then population of 25 million in Australia back in ‘96 during the great gun crush. They got a few rusted-out SKSs from states that had gun registration, there was widespread ‘burglaries’ and ‘boating mishaps’ beforehand. If the cops thought that they were successful, then why do they stage regular amnesties and PR drives urging people, often wives, to turn in unregistered (therefore unregulated) guns?
The cops are fearful of the ‘bottomless pit’ of existing guns, the proliferation of high grade 3-D printed guns scares them shitless, especially since they outed themselves during the lockdowns as enemies of the people.
Not everyone handed in anything at all. I certainly didn’t give my lifetimes collection up to be crushed. Unfortunately for me, I got busted and lost my guns, and my licence, for having unregistered guns. Not an experience I’d recommend.
Americans, don’t register your guns under any pretext, it’s merely a delayed form of confiscation. It’s so teh ATFE know where to collect them, and you, if you attempt to deny them the pleasure. Don’t forget, the police of any stripe are not your friends, they can’t afford to be if they want to retire on their pension.

You let them do it instead hanging the law makers in the public square and you acquiesced to the “confiscation” without so much as a peep or a shot fired in anger.
You Australians still haven’t figured out that you’re not subject to the Queen or King now and have no obligation to accede to their direction stemming from a crime that happened half way around the world from you.
So much for supposed vaunted Aussie men being men among men.

We are allowed to bear arms for now anyway but everyone in America complied without one shot being fired. I had to fire doctor’s due to this tyranny. Beware of your doctor and their questions. Don’t sign papers consenting to them turning over your medical records to a federal or local law enforcement.
