  1. The children of the 50’s laid down the foundation that we now tread on. They were condition to except the narrative of the left. They became the “sensitive crying man”.

  2. Back in Christmas ‘67, I got a battery-powered BAR that took 2 D-cejjs in the box magazine, and shot spaeks from the muzzle and made a suitable ‘rat-a-tat’ noise. Strewth, I staged plenty of ambushes on unsuspecting Jap patrols and German Kubelwagens.
One day I couldn’t find it anywhere, finally my mum said that as I hadn’t played with it for a fortnight, she gave it away. Gave It Away!! My 8yo heart was broken, mothers just don’t understand how a man feels, not to have a light machinegun to stitch up enemy traffic with.
Poor mum, she only earned 50 cents an hour, and so couldn’t afford to keep buying me fresh batteries. I wonder what that BAR would fetch from a toy collector now? It was quite well made, this being 1960s Australia.
