Jimmy Carter’s family gave a heartbreaking update on the former President’s health. They said he will spend his “remaining time” at home receiving hospice care instead of continuing to receive “medical intervention.
The statement says: “After a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention.

The man has lived a long life. Everyone dies. If they’re so sad about it, just hire a taxidermist. People like this are being selfish. We all will die. He’ll die of old age rather than on the battlefield or a disease. After all this time how are they not prepared for the inevitable? I guess their statement is to appeal to the Carter lovers, all two of them.
And if they’re Christian, they should doubly know and even rejoice that he’s going home.
No, I did not support him as a politician. I voted against him and disdained his entire administration.

I was living out of the state when he was running for governor and not voting Democrat when he was running for President. It’s not my fault.

Hospice = Medically Supervised death choice.
Both my parents went that route. When the nurse made her morning health visit on their last day, she took one look at them and said “it’s time.”
The good news is that they died at home surrounded by family, never having set foot in a nursing home as a patient, per their wish.
