Personally? 000- 000-000, 2 slugs then #1 shot until the last 2 which would be saboted slugs. Mayhem, mayhem, mayhem on incoming , 2 solid slugs when they take cover, #1 shot which has a 13″ spread at 25 ‘ in case I am or they are on the move. 2 saboted slugs left to take careful aim and fire…… Not that I have thought about it

You must be getting old. I remember when the more kick the better.I had a 10 Ga Jc Higgins bolt action slug gun that could shoot through the wall of a 4″ concrete silo. I loved it

Yes, I am. I’ve got one fake shoulder and the other is so bad that the doc said it would be of no benefit to replace it due to everything around the joint being so damaged. I try to avoid heavy recoil as much as I can.
At least I never fired a shotgun while sitting on top of a corner fence post like a friend of mine did when we were young. He and the gun did a backflip. Recoil doesn’t care if you are braced or not. You should have seen the look on his face afterward.
