Interim Guidance for Implementing Home Care of People Not Requiring Hospitalization for 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)

This interim guidance is for staff at local and state health departments, infection prevention and control professionals, healthcare providers, and healthcare workers who are coordinating the home care and isolation1 of people who are confirmed to have, or being evaluated for 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infection (see Criteria to Guide Evaluation of Patients Under Investigation (PUI) for 2019-nCoV).

1Isolation is defined as the separation or restriction of activities of an ill person with a contagious disease from those who are well.

  1. Went to buy beer at a local store run by Asians, thought I was walking into an operating room. Everyone had on surgical scrubs, hats, masks, gloves to the wlbows. My solution…..I won’t shop there ever. Thanks Jay.
