We can only hope whoever hit is that last time has his(?) bat knocked back into his(?) face for some well-deserved comeuppance. Some people seem to think mailboxes belong to the Post Office, and are fair game.

Got one when I was a teenager. Damn thing had a small coil spring welded onto it at ground level. After I hit it it went back and forth and pounded the hell out of my car as I pulled away. Karma is a bitch

Hope that isn’t Florida, some jerk hits that and the owner will be going to jail.
I knew a guy out on Gospel Island road whose giant mailbox was a batting magnet for the entertainment impaired. Still cops told him reinforcing it was completely illegal. Which is, after all, why we pay taxes so that the government can take the side of lowlifes over law abiding citizens right?

Yeah true, but in most states the immovable objects impeding citizen’s ‘right of way’ are usually the elected officials……modern government; ‘despite the people, for themselves, against the people’
