Very funny.
Allow me to share an experience that popped into my head when I saw the above photo. It reminded me of a funeral I attended about 20 years ago.
After the service, I stood outside the funeral home watching everyone decide who was going to drive with whom to the cemetery. The driver of the hearse, about 30 years my senior at the time, approached me and extended his sympathies. Half-way to the hearse, he backtracked and offered me a ride to the grave site.
Number one, I had a ride. Number two, even if I didn’t , I had no intention of sitting in the passenger side/front seat of a hearse with my uncle in the casket behind me. Number three, what would my favorite uncle have thought of me. Number four, I’m married.
Finally, I need not tell you how many people who witnessed the exchange, questioned me about it.
Again, very funny photograph. Thanks for the memories.
