All funds raised in this campaign will be used exclusively to outreach to current serving Marines, and will be kept separate from our general billboard campaign fund. Every penny will be used first, for billboads outside of Marine Corps bases. That is priority number one. We already have two billboards scheduled to go up outside of Camp Lejeune this next week! Here is what they will look like:
Off to a great start! The above billboards will go up this next week just outside of two entrances to Camp Lejeune.
Then, once the billboards are up, if we have enough funds left, we will run ads in the Marine Corps Gazette, and then any funds left after that will go to supply our Marine veteran volunteers with outreach materials that they can hand directly to current serving Marines on the way into the bases, such as pocket Constitutions, booklets on particular issues (such as booklets on each of our ten orders we Oath Keepers commit to refusing to obey, beginning with gun confiscation), DVDs, flash drives, and brochures.
Oath Keepers has a well established, strong track record of running a very effective, ongoing billboard campaign. In addition to the existing Marine Corps billboard at Twentynine Palms (which was one of our first), we have successfully placed billboards at: Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas (to protest a Ft. Leavenworth instructor who characterized the Tea Party as a future domestic military enemy); in the Washington D.C. Metro subway station near the Pentagon and at the D.C. Metro stop near the White House (directly calling on Federal employees to blow the whistle on what really happened at Benghazi, and also protesting against NSA spying on Americans); in addition to billboards placed outside of Army bases such as at Ft. Hood, Texas; Ft. Benning, GA; and Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, with the help of Oath Keepers Army veterans in Georgia and Texas (who also passed out thousands of pocket Constitutions at Ft. Hood). Now we need more billboards outside of Marine Corps bases!
